Accessibility Statement

Blackburn Recovery Services wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to learn about our programs and reach our team easily through this website.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities, including vision, hearing, mobility and cognitive disabilities.

What we do

  • Write descriptive text for meaningful images, including our home photos
  • Use a clear heading structure so pages are easy to follow with a screen reader
  • Make sure menus, links and buttons can be used with a keyboard
  • Check that text has enough contrast against its background
  • Load videos only when you choose to play them
  • Review the site for accessibility as we add new pages and articles

Content from other providers

Some parts of this site come from other providers, including YouTube videos and our chat window. We do not fully control how that content works. If anything from another provider gets in your way, contact us and we will share the same information another way.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some pages may not yet fully meet our goal, and we keep reviewing and improving the site.

Contact us

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or have a suggestion, please let us know. It helps to tell us which page you were on and what happened.

We will respond as soon as we can, and we are happy to provide information in another format, such as by phone or email.
