Why Venice works for recovery
Recovery is easier when healthy activity is right outside the door. In Venice, residents are minutes from the beach, the boardwalk and the bike path, with plenty of ways to stay active, get outside and fill free time without falling back on old habits.
The Westside also has one of the strongest recovery communities in Los Angeles, with 12 Step meetings throughout the week and a large sober community that residents quickly become part of. Many of the friendships people build here last long after they move out.
The Blackburn program
Every Blackburn home runs on the same proven structure, so residents get the same level of support whichever neighborhood they live in:
- Full-time staff at every location
- Frequent random drug and alcohol testing
- Weekly 12 Step meeting requirements
- Curfew, daily tasks and house expectations
- Weekly goal setting and help building a personal schedule
- Regular updates for families and treatment providers, with the resident’s permission
